New year

Morning all,

I know I haven't done any posts in a while, I guess I just ran out of things to say. Now I seem to have more than enough, a little update on my life;
 - Have all three sopio decks, woop woop.
 - Have a Slytherin tie, yay ebay :D (the tie makes me evil... just saying)
 - Have a top which says House Targaryen, fire and blood.
 - Am attempting to get a agate crystal out of a claire's ring... with nail varnish remover.
 - Am wondering if I should talk about my faith...

So, yer.
I think the first three points don't really need much explaining, but the crystal from a ring... sounds a little crazy I know. I collect crystals, and I use them, I'm a practising witch. No... throwing water over me won't kill me, I do shower. *sigh* Yes I probably have heard all the jokes, and half of them I indulge. But anything, I found a ring in claires, one of those large ones with a massive agate stone in it, heck £2, its work it if I can get the stone out, and if I can't it's two quid. Therefore I've placed the stone and metal holder thingy in nail varnish remover, I'll report back if it works.

My dear best friends, and far too interesting in politics, I don't really give a... I mean I prefer religion as the topic of choise if there is going to be a debate. I'm a... *inhale* Kemetic inspired eclectic wiccan/witch (pagan) *exhale* because I can't seem to find a one word answer that actually makes sense. And I enjoy mindfucking my rs teacther when I explain this :P
My beliefs are a bit confusing, but I think it would be useful to write a few blog enteries about what I believe... and would inspire me to do a bit of work... :D

Anyway, I have an interview in two days, wish me luck.

Week nine

Mornings,

This week has been interesting, and far too much of it has been spent on semeuke.com. Secret Circle the tv series is really annoying me, how dare they kill of Nick, he's a beautiful character, and I was starting to think he was the only one in the show that didn't annoy me. I quite like Faye, because she's pretty much accurate, but what have they done to Diana and Adam... it's actually quite depressing. And I'm not even going to start on Melissa... she isn't as awesome as the 6 people that were combined to create her character, particually not the Henderson brother.

I tried doing the 24 hour Nyan cat challange, and it was 6:54 before my head started hurting too much. But that could have easily been from the horrible flashing video clip. Looking away is cheating.

I put my UCAS application in today. Finally that's a weight off my mind... now I just have to get the grades, and darling Amenhotep III is getting on my nerves, well thats not true, it's the stupid library services and I'm running out of time to read it before it needs to get back, and I can only get through about 20 pages an hour. It's slow going, particually because I find myself getting distracted after about 45 minutes.

I'm also annoyed because I still can't get onto Pottermore, ffs it was supposed to be open start of Oct, then end of Oct... and I still can't get online!

A theory of the gods and the stars

Mornings,

As I was driving home from dropping my nan off this 'prevening' I was watching the stars coming out, thinking about how ridiculously old the light that was coming from the star light was. Then I started thinking about my history coursework, the Egyptian religion and Amun Ra, then a lorry drove a little bit too close to me and the two got mashed together quite nicely in my head.

Therefore, what I concluded from my drive home was that, if you look at the properties of a solar deities, some of them are actually proven by science real. For example, a creator god; stars convert (for want of a better word) Hydrogen into bigger and more complex atoms, and therefore everything is made up of things that have been formed in a dead star, therefore stars literally allow life, because they create the building blocks. Carrying on with the theme of life giving, sunlight allows photosynthesis which gives oxygen as a by product that we breath.

Then I started thinking that monotheism was like looking at the sky during the day and seeing the sun and thinking that was god, but ignoring the night and the other gods. Just because the stars are far away, doesn't mean that they are not gods.

And then, my final thought on comparing stars to god, was thinking about the American Creationists... from a video that we watched in RS, they believe that carbon dating in incorrect, but we know that sunlight takes millions of years to come from the centre of the sun to the surface of the sun, and then eight minutes to get to earth... if we know that the sun must have been around for millions of years... therefore the ideas of young earth creationism, must be incorrect.

But heck, I'm not a scientist, I'm just a light nerd.

Week three

Morning,

Had a wisdom tooth finish coming through today, and while I managed to get a bag of skittles out of it, I do also now reek of oil of cloves. Smells kinda like Christmas, but tastes foul.

Talking about Christmas, my sopio cards did come eventually, and myself and a couple friends have our own tournament, losers buy the winner a bag of skittles at Yule. So far, I've won two games, Emily's won four *cough* cheat, and Zoe's still on the roundest of all numbers... 0.

In other news, I drew a politics dragon on the school big draw. Not that exciting, but I have yet to draw a politics dragon in politics this term. Politics is getting a bit more interesting, isms. Yay. Done Ecology, basically go environment, and Liberalism, basically go freedoms.

Got some new lipstick, MUA shade two, I like it.

Yep, I know its like turning onto the news and there is an article about Marvin the trombone playing meerkat... I really don't have anything to report. This week has pretty much been dull.

Well, I did get to play hero, I think... but the story isn't finished yet, and there is nothing more annoying that a cliffhanger. So next week I'll tell all... maybe.

I've downloaded the Still Got Legs album to my mp, along with the Starship soundtrack... so kinda confusing when I get the songs mixed up... but they are both about Aliens.

Dragons!

Oh, I am starting to learn Middle Egyptian, in preparation for university. And therefore the word that has made my laugh the loudest is the symbols for 'donkey' which goes, symbol for a, symbol for phallus, determinative symbol for donkey... why... its a strange language but I actually really like it. It's logical.

Week one

Morning,

Well its been a week since I've posted anything... and its been a long week. School has been good to get back to, and I did an RS essay, twice. But still its been good to get back. It's unfortunate to see some people have managed to get back when I was sure their grades wouldn't be high enough, fool.ish people. I don't think I'll mention any names just to keep things ambiguous, because I hardly want to get sued.

In other news, I've started writing a story called Cyril and the Human, which is a rewrite of George and the Dragon but from the dragon's point of view. I'm writing not only because I'm awesome but as the creative writing part of the girl guiding Commonwealth award. Yay. When it's done I think I'll add Cyril to the site for entertainment purposes... hopefully.

Yesterday I went down with Dad to Swansea University, which I think I'm in love with! I was to study Egyptology there, and we went to look around to see if 'I liked the atmosphere' not quite sure what that means but I liked it. I'm actually in love with the Egyptian Museum. Talked to a few people there about the course and its so beautiful, and one of them gave me a reading list... only problem is I can't for the life of me remember her name and I left the reading list on the side next to the game of Senet. Therefore I can't exactly email saying dear really friendly person I talked to yesterday, I was the person in the blue top, and I'm an idiot. I think I've managed to find all the books on amazon, or at least the authors that were suggested so panic is temporarily averted.

I still need to write my personal statement... I'm not too sure how to translate; omgoshimsoexcitingthisisgoingtobesobeautifuliloveegpytomgoshwoop. Into enthusiastic English without ending up on the 'crazy' pile. Oh well, shiz happens.
